Our Aims

-

We seek partnerships with our clients that nurture close working relationships, in an effort to obtain a clear understanding of their needs.

-

Reporting to our clients on matters that relate to their technology, in a manner that provides meaningful information without the complexity of the industry in which we work.

-

To automate and or simplify client tasks related to their technology. These functions provide greater client productivity and a comfortable working environment. These processes also instill client confidence in their dealings with the technology and reduce their dependence on highly trained staff to perform their day-to-day functions.

-

Implement preventative maintenance programs where possible to ensure reliable performance on all equipment possessed by our clients. Again this minimises client frustrations and maximises client productivity.

-

Where possible employ remote management facilities to provide a more cost effective and timely response to client needs and support.

-

Backup-Backup-Backup: Implement satisfactory backup and redundancy systems to minimise the loss of data and downtime. These facilities are often cost dependent and need to be addressed with all clients based on the cost of recovery against the cost of downtime and lost data.

-

Seek clients requiring long term sustainable technology requirements. Myra requires to build a client base for the future. With good management and honest dealings, these associations will ensure the growth of our company for many years to come.

Brief History

-

Myra Computer Systems commenced operation in October 1994.

Initially it was involved in the retailing of computer systems and peripherals to the domestic Home market. By 1996 the focus of the company changed to the development of business solutions and the design and manufacture of business systems to the local business community. The company concentrated on Network (LAN) solutions and File Servers supplying hardware to Schools government Departments and small to medium size businesses.

In 1999-2000 Myra purchased and merged its operations with a Local electronics company Sky Electronics. Sky Electronics specialises in TV Aerial Installation and repairs, Phone System Installation and Maintenance and Network Cabling. By early 2001 both companies finalised its merger and relocated to South Lismore.

The aim has been to provide a single source for business Technology needs.

To extend this philosophy, Myra ceased manufacturing computer systems in 2003 and aligned itself with an Australian National Manufacturer. As a Platinum Dealer for ASI computers, Myra is able to offer all the services provided by the ASI Network.

The ASI Network has offices in all major capital cities and hundreds of dealers around the country. ASI’s support team have recently completed training on the PowerTill Software, offering up to a 24x7 access to contracted clients. This facility provides an excellent backup support for Myra’s solutions not normally offered by many companies.

We also provide our services to the Optus Mobile Network in the maintenance of their Communication Towers. We cover the Mobile Towers from Byron Bay to Grafton and west to Kyogle.

The Commonwealth Bank also uses our services to Install and maintain their Eftpos Terminals on the North Coast.

In June 2005, we relocated to New premises at Alstonville and we continue to focus on Client Network Support and developing the Newer Technologies such as Remote Access from Home or  Office, more reliable Backup Systems, Voice over IP communications and

Point of Sale Systems for Sole Operators and Franchise Companies.

Also, the demand for management of Clients Networks from remote locations is increasing as their demands for 100% uptime is evident, and we are implementing new technology ourselves to accommodate this.

We will continue to grow and embrace New technologies as they become available and assist our clients to integrate them into their Businesses.
